Congratulations to our young parishioners who received the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Thank you to your parents, sponsors and cathechists who have been preparing you for this important occasion on your faith journey. We will continue to pray for you and ask your parents to ensure that you worship with us regularly at Sunday Mass. Our parish needs you and you need to continue to foster your relationship with Jesus, your friend and teacher. Congratulations boys and girls!!

Father Wayne Dohey will be celebrating his 25th. anniversary of ordination to the priesthood with a Thanksgiving Mass on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church followed by a reception at Knights of Columbus, St. Clare Avenue following Mass. All parishioners, former parishioners and friends are invited to join Father Wayne on this special occasion as he gives thanks to God, his friends, and parishioners for twenty-five years of ordained ministry.

Congratulations are extended to Monsignor Jim Doody who received The Queen Elizabeth 11 Diamond Jubilee Medal after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, April 21, 2012. This medal commemorates the 60th. anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11′s accession to the Throne of Canada and serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians. It was presented to Monsignor Jim by Senator Fabian Manning. Congratulations Monsignor!!

Sincere thanks to all who came out to the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, April 21, 2012 and to the social in our parish hall after Mass as we gathered to wish good luck to Monsignor Jim as he prepares to move to his new residence at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Receiving the Jubilee Medal was a big surprise for him! He enjoyed the celebration immensely and was delighted so many friends and parishioners came out to join him. Thank you for being there to celebrate with him!

*** St. Patrick’s Church will stage a dramatization of the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, April 6th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. All are invited to join us for this devotional journey as we travel with Jesus on his way to Calvary. Come along and bring a friend for a truly inspirational experience of Jesus’ passion where you will accompany our Savior on the Way of the Cross.
